Cameron Wilson, an 18 year old dancer from Tecumseh, Ontario, has been pursuing his passion and perfecting his art since he was 4 years old.
Competing for a decade, Cameron has won numerous convention titles and convention, tour, national final and intensive scholarships, namely multiple Edge Performing Arts Centre scholarships in Los Angeles, Junior Dancer of the Year winner and Teen Dancer of the Year finalist at Tremaine National Finals, Radix Regional Core Performer, Velocity Regional MVA and 24Seven NonStop Dancer Regional award. Cameron has been invited to be a member of the Tremaine Performance Company for the 2018-2019 season.
Cameron previously competed as an Independent before becoming a member of the Dance Barre Elite Company under the direction of Blake and Lindsay Angier, and his self-choreographed solo won Overall High Score Senior Solo at the Tremaine Summer Finals in New York City. Cameron has also won numerous first place, highest adjudicated honours and both category and overall high scores for his solo performances over the last few years.
In October 2018, after receiving a personal invitation from So You Think You Dance judge, Mary Murphy, Cameron performed a solo at her annual Champion Ballroom Halloween showcase in San Diego. Mary personally worked with Cameron so he could also perform in the event’s opening number.
Cameron excels at and enjoys all styles of dance and has choreographed solos, duets and group pieces for many performances at his performing arts school as well as for pieces competing at the Ontario Secondary School Dance Fest.
Cameron is 6’2” and 150 lbs and maintains a lean, muscular stature. He has brown hair and blue eyes.
